To Educate, Enrich & Inspire Kids Through Diverse & Imaginative Films
Dedicated to kids aged 2 to 18 years old, Big Eyes, Big Minds International Children’s Film Festival (BEBM) seeks to educate, enrich and inspire children through passionate storytelling and vibrant film making.
At BEBM, diverse and imaginative films from around the globe broaden world views and stimulate critical thinking. By engaging kids with well-made and enjoyable films, we aim to cultivate film appreciation and inspire kids to express their creativity through the craft of film making.
Our films are always made for kids, about kids, and we love to showcase films by kids too.
We work closely with schools and various institutions to bring our film programs to young people. In 2017, more than 5000 children, parents and educators attended the 7th BEBM Singapore International Children’s Film Festival.
Big Eyes, Big Minds – Singapore International Children’s Film Festival was founded in 2010 by Mabel Gan. Mabel is a film and television writer, director and producer. She has an MFA in Motion Picture Arts from Florida State University. Her inspiration for Big Eyes, Big Minds came from attending a children’s film festival in Australia with her then 5-year-old son, where she discovered the learning opportunities as well as the sheer joy that films can bring to young children.
